Cambodian prime minister jokes his pot belly is getting in the way of his golf swing

Hun Sen, the prime minister of Cambodia, has complained that his pot belly is affecting his golf swing – as millions of his countrymen live under the poverty line. Sen, who is known for his off-the-cuff remarks, made the jibe after being quizzed about his health on his Facebook page. Responding to someone who posted a two-year-old clip claiming he had suffered a stroke, Mr Sen said: “If you need to broadcast the news of the prime minister's health, you better say that the prime minister is worrying about his belly, which is now getting big.” "Don't say that the prime minister suffered a stroke. Better say that the prime minister is worrying his weight is increasing … which makes it difficult for my swing while playing golf." In Monday's speech he said he had put on three kilograms in recent days while touring the country as part of a plan to visit all 25 provinces, often sleeping in his chauffeured car. But he swiftly added he remained as fit as a fiddle: "I am still very strong. Sometimes, I feel I am just 25 years old," he said. Explore Angkor Wat
